Rachel Sarah Bilson was born August 25, 1981 in L.A. California. Rachel’s father is a director, producer and writer. With a family from a show business background that goes back to her screenwriter great-grandma (Hattie Bilson) and film director grandpa (Bruce Bilson), Rachel actively performed on school productions, such as “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” and “The Crucible” while attended Notre Dame High School.
In 2000, Rachel Bilson took her father’s advice and pursued a career as a professional actress. Her first jobs included TV commercials for Raisin Bran, Subway restaurants and Pepto-Bismol. By early 2003, Bilson landed a guest-appearance in the hit TV series, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” followed by “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” and the short film “Unbroken.” By mid-2003, Rachel Bilson signed up as Summer Roberts in “The O.C.,” which first aired in August 2003. On the series, her on-screen romance with Adam Brody’s character Seth Cohen became a hit and earned the show a massive teenage audience.
